Precautions for communication power supply
The power supply system widely uses high-frequency switching power supply system equipment, which has a high degree of intelligence. The battery adopts maintenance free batteries, which brings many conveniences to users. However, attention should also be paid to various aspects during use to ensure safe use.
[1] The high-frequency switching power supply system does not require high environmental temperature, and can operate normally at minus 5-40 degrees Celsius. However, indoor cleanliness and low dust are required, otherwise dust combined with moisture can cause the host to work in disorder. Batteries have higher temperature requirements, with a standard operating temperature of 25 degrees Celsius and should not exceed+15 to+30 degrees Celsius in normal use. If the temperature is too low, it will cause a decrease in battery capacity. For every 1 degree decrease in temperature, its capacity will decrease by 1%. Its discharge capacity will increase with increasing temperature, but its lifespan will decrease. If used for a long time at high temperatures, the battery life will decrease by about half for every 10 degrees Celsius increase in temperature.
[2] The parameters set in the high-frequency switching power supply system cannot be changed arbitrarily during use.
[3] According to the requirements of the power system and the size of the power margin, it is necessary to avoid adding additional devices with high power arbitrarily during use, and it is also not allowed to operate for a long time under full load. The nature of the work determines that the power supply system operates almost uninterrupted. Increasing the high-power load or working at basic full load can cause faults in the rectifier module, and in severe cases, damage to the converter.
[4] The output voltage, waveform, frequency, and amplitude of the self-contained generator should meet the requirements of the power supply system for input voltage. In addition, the power of the generator should be greater than the rated input power of the switching power supply equipment. Otherwise, it will cause abnormal operation or damage to the power supply system equipment.
[5] Due to the high output current of the combined battery pack, there is a risk of electric shock. Therefore, special attention should be paid to safety when loading, unloading, and reconnecting conductive connection strips and output lines. Tools should be insulated, and especially output contacts should have anti touch measures. To ensure personal and equipment safety.
[6] Whether in float charging operation or discharge maintenance testing, it is necessary to ensure that the voltage and current meet the specified requirements. High voltage or current may cause thermal runaway or dehydration of the battery, while low voltage or current can cause battery depletion, both of which can affect the battery's lifespan, with the former having a greater impact.
[7] In any case, battery short circuit or deep discharge should be prevented, as the cycle life of the battery is related to the depth of discharge. The deeper the discharge depth, the shorter the cycle life. In capacity testing or discharge maintenance, it is usually sufficient to discharge 30% to 50% of the capacity.
[8] Batteries should avoid high current charging and discharging. In theory, high current can be accepted during charging, but in practical operation, it should be avoided as much as possible. Otherwise, it will cause the expansion and deformation of the battery plates, causing the active substances on the plates to fall off, increasing the internal resistance of the battery and raising the temperature. In severe cases, it will cause a decrease in capacity and premature termination of service life.
[9] The capacity of lead-acid batteries is linearly related to the specific gravity of the electrolyte. By measuring the specific gravity, the stored energy of the battery can be understood. Valve controlled sealed batteries are lean liquid batteries and cannot be measured for electrolyte density. Therefore, how to determine their quality and predict storage capacity has become a major challenge in the industry today. Measuring the internal resistance of a battery using a conductivity meter is a valuable method for determining the quality of a battery, but it is not yet possible to accurately determine the degree of battery quality. The most reliable method is still the discharge method.
[10] In terms of reliability, economy, usability, and maintenance, a four stroke oil engine should be selected as the prime mover generator set. The four stroke oil engine has a simple structure and adopts a series of mature technologies such as multi cylinder balancing and boosting, which are suitable for the requirements of large capacity units. It has low noise, low pollution, and high cost-effectiveness. During use, the heat generated by the unit should be discharged outdoors to ensure that the humidity in the surrounding environment of the unit does not exceed the specified requirements.
